Following their derby loss to Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe suffered another defeat, this time against Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League.
In the Turkish Super League, they now trail their main rival, Galatasaray, by six points.
With the title race heating up, Fenerbahçe cannot afford any more slip-ups, as another setback could end their championship hopes.
Today, they face a strong Başakşehir side that is in excellent form, having secured three consecutive wins—two in the Turkish League and one in the Europa League.
However, all these victories came on home turf.
